EQDG condemns the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling. We are outraged and deeply disturbed by this blatant disrespect for previously secured individuals’ rights in our country. This decision harms the rights, privacy, and safety of women and poses a direct threat to the LGBTQ+ community by destroying rights already established by the Court such as sexual preference, gender identification, and marriage equality. The continuing reversal of individuals’ rights sets a dangerous precedent for future generations and destabilizes the integrity of the judicial system by reversing previously decided civil rights. We will continue to fight for all communities being unjustly targeted by these dangerous attacks and will continue to support the right to privacy and due process for all people.
